About the Role
Entry-level Engineer to support R&D within the Cleaning & Sterilization (C&S) group. This role blends engineering fundamentals with hands-on lab/process work, focused on developing and validating cleaning and sterilization processes for complex medical devices.
Responsibilities
- Support the development of cleaning and sterilization processes
- Assist with testing, validation, and data collection
- Contribute to technical documentation and reporting
- Collaborate cross-functionally with internal and external teams
- Participate in process development activities (soiling, cleaning, extraction)
Requirements
- A minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical or Biomedical Engineering or a related science/engineering degree is required
- 1-2 years of work or internship experience
- Comfortable working in lab/testing environments (standing for extended periods)
Preferred Qualifications
- Strong engineering principles and analysis skills to resolve technical challenges
- Excellent collaboration and teaming skills
- Able to partner with internal and external resources to help ensure completion of launch deliverables
- Assist the process team as needed with soiling, cleaning, and extraction process development
- An understanding of design control; design verification and validation
- Ability to support the creation of required documentation (test protocols, reports, etc.), create and speak to slides for presentations
- Ability to work in a regulated environment is highly preferred
- Experience in med device is preferred
- Able to stand for 4 or more hours at a time
