Engineer IV, Account Technologist

About the role

UCT is a fast-growing sector in the world, directly impacting every smartphone, smart car, and AI-enabled device. This role is crucial for the semiconductor industry's evolution, and UCT is seeking an Engineer IV to lead site engineering activities, improve programs, and solve customer concerns.

Responsibilities

• Manage/Oversee ongoing site engineering activities
• Lead Key Improvement Programs/Projects
• Apply principles of mass, momentum, and heat transfer to process and equipment design
• Support the conversion of small-scale processes into large-scale operations
• Define process requirements for NPI and new line start-ups
• Give technical guidance and resources for strategic and complex technical problems
• Develop and implement solutions to customer concerns
• Drive process control systems (PCS) and SPC matching efforts
• Participate in projects to improve systems, operations, and cross-functional collaboration

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering, Metallurgy, Chemistry, or Physics, or relevant semiconductor-related degree
• Master’s or higher degree preferred
• 6+ years of related experience in high-technology manufacturing, preferably in semiconductor capital equipment or related industries
• Fluency in Mandarin

• Assessing processes for relevance and adequacy of engineering equipment
• Reviewing existing data and identifying trends
• Designing, installing, and commissioning new production units
• Preparing reports, flow diagrams, and charts
• Ensuring processes work at optimal levels
• Managing cost and time constraints of projects
• Collaborating with Quality and Operations teams
• Superior people management and leadership skills
• High-level troubleshooting skills
• Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and other systems/software
