About the role

Martin/Martin is seeking a Civil Investigative Engineer to join our Investigative Engineering Group in Denver, Colorado. Our team specializes in developing and managing engineering services for the renovation, restoration, retrofit, and repair of existing site elements.

Responsibilities

  • Supporting project managers with field investigations
  • Preparing technical reports
  • Producing engineering deliverables aligned with project needs
  • Developing repair drawings
  • Coordination with project teams
  • Performing engineering analyses
  • Conducting site evaluations
  • Managing construction administration activities
  • Participating in industry events

Requirements

  • Required Bachelor's degree in engineering from an ABET accredited engineering curriculum
  • Proficiency with Civil3D
  • Passed Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) Examination
  • 2-5 years’ experience
  • Eligible to work for any employer in the United States, without the need for visa sponsorship now or in the future
  • Ability to work in the Denver area
  • Relocation reimbursement may be provided, depending on the role and job function

Desired Experience or interest

  • In relevant intern experience
  • Knowledge or proficiency with StormCAD, FlowMaster, WaterCAD, AutoTurn
  • Knowledge of building and material design codes
  • Strong time management and organizational skills
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently for extended periods of time
  • Strong written, technical, and interpersonal skills
  • Construction field experience
  • Can manage small projects through design
  • GPA of 3.5 or higher

Skills & Abilities

  • Move inside or outside the office and on non-ADA accessible construction sites
  • Remain stationary for long periods of time
  • Repetitive movement on tasks such as using a keyboard or mouse
  • Carry, ascend, and descend a ladder
  • Identify color
  • Read, communicate, and document in English
  • Determine and exchange accurate information
  • Occasionally move or hold equipment weighing up to 50 pounds
  • Position self in atypical environments and small, confined spaces

Compensation

The wage range for this role considers the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. Base Salary: For individuals hired in Colorado, a reasonable estimate of the current range for this role is $77,000 - $83,000 annually. Accrued Time: This is a salaried position with accrued time eligibility. Accrued time allows additional compensation or time-off to be earned for any eligible hours worked exceeding 40 hours per week. Base Salary Review: This role is eligible to participate in Martin/Martin’s annual base salary increase review process. Annual Bonus: This role is eligible to participate in a discretionary annual bonus program. Base salary review and increases, in addition to annual bonuses, are dependent on various factors, including a hired individual’s job-level and annual company performance.
