About the role
This is a hybrid position that requires onsite work in Towson, MD, minimum 3 Days per week.
Responsibilities
- Successfully support the design process to achieve all quality, performance, schedule and cost objectives in a cross-functional environment.
- Perform hands-on concept development, proto-typing, product testing, data collection and definition of product specifications.
- Carry out stack-ups and system analysis to ensure product assembly and functionality remain consistent throughout its lifetime.
- Investigate design issues & test failures, and identify, recommend and implement corrective actions to components.
- Construct 3D models to evaluate design options
- Be involved with cross-functional teams (Product Marketing, Reliability, Field Research) to help identify and define customer requirements and develop the tests to duplicate end user tasks
- Work in a core team of 3-4 engineers/designers to develop a product from start to finish, assure appropriate documentation is developed and maintained for component designs and engineering test results
- Support the builds of engineering, manufacturing and pilot lots to ensure that the products are assembled and tested in the correct way to ensure long term product quality
- Support the Engineering process for all engineering requirements to deliver a product that meets our history of guaranteed tough products
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering with 1 to 3 years of experience.
- Computer literate; MS Word, Power Point, Excel, 2D/3D CAD, FEA
- The ability to dissect a problem to help find the root cause and create a solution that addresses the issue.
- Enjoys getting your hands dirty and being involved in building, testing and du-bugging tools throughout the development cycle
- Quality – use of statistical tools, process capability, DOE’s, stack-ups, GD&T
- Cordination of internal resources for testing’s and analysis

Pay
The salary range for this position is $72,000.00 - $115,900.00
