Engineer II, Manufacturing Engineering

About the role

As a Engineer II, Manufacturing Engineer at Epredia, you'll play a crucial part in ensuring our consumable products meet high standards of safety, quality, and efficiency. Your responsibilities include addressing manufacturing waste, managing daily disruptions, and leading continuous improvement initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Address manufacturing waste, including MUV, scrap, downtime, manufacturing layout, and inventory location/accuracy issues.
• Support change control activities, update SOPs, and retrain employees as needed.
• Lead and support continuous improvement initiatives focused on throughput, waste reduction, material cost savings, and production enhancements.
• Support IQ/OQ/PQ validations for existing and new equipment, and assist with implementation of next-generation production lines and capital projects.
• Maintain costing standards, including setup times, production rates, and scrap rates/factors, and participate in the annual standard roll.
• Create and maintain the product family matrix and assist Marketing and Inventory Control with product rationalization from a manufacturing perspective.

Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering or manufacturing engineering required, Masters preferred.
• 3+ years of experience in manufacturing engineering required.
• Experience identifying sources of waste and manufacturing processes to drive down cost.
• Experience with validation for equipment and processes.
• Experience managing projects or programs.
• Knowledge, training, and/or experience in Lean Manufacturing.
• Manufacturing standard costing experience preferred.
• ISO 9001, ISO13485, FDA experience is preferred.
• The ability to lift, push and/or pull up to 50lbs as well as the ability to stand, bend, stoop, kneel and carry.

Pay

The hiring range for this position is: $74,250 - $88,000, plus individuals may be eligible for an annual discretionary bonus. Actual compensation within the range will be dependent upon the individual's skills, experience, qualifications and location, and applicable employment laws.
