Responsibilities

  • Oversee the design, development, and management of natural gas pipeline and station projects.
  • Collaborate with a cross-functional team including project management, construction, and operations, ensuring compliance with design codes (CFR, FERC, PHMSA, DOT, etc.).
  • Facilitate effective decision-making.
  • Develop calculations, equipment specifications, requisitions, sketches, and drawings.
  • Manage permit applications.
  • Review contractor proposals.
  • Produce, review, and approve construction drawing packages.
  • Apply working knowledge of the natural gas design codes (Code of Federal Regulations part 192, Federal Energy Regulatory Commission, Pipeline and Hazardous Materials Safety Administration, DOT, etc.).
  • Work with project team including Project Management, Construction and Operations while monitoring the engineering and design project.
  • Manage permit applications and status.
  • Lead engineering meetings with internal stakeholders.
  • Manage multiple projects of moderate complexity concurrently.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering
  • Three (3) years in a similar capacity
  • Valid Driver’s License

Qualifications

  • Understanding of Engineering Principles as well as construction, maintenance and operations.
  • Proficient in general business principles including Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to review engineering plans and understand permit requirements.
  • Ability to train and mentor lower level team members.
  • Ability to work independently as well as in a diverse work environment.

Skills

  • Working knowledge of natural gas design codes (CFR, FERC, PHMSA, DOT, etc.)
  • Microsoft Office Suite proficiency
  • Ability to review and understand permit requirements
