Engineer I (Maintenance)

About the role

Responsible for performing necessary skills and demonstrating knowledge relating to the general maintenance of the property to provide a positive guest experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform duties requiring regular use of hands to handle or feel, reach with hands and arms, and talk or hear.
• Maintain and repair table games equipment, including but not limited to gaming tables.
• Adhere to Horseshoe Indianapolis policies and procedures, Internal Control Standards, and Indiana Gaming Regulations.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED with a minimum of one to two (1-2) years of experience in general maintenance, or an equivalent combination of education and/or work experience.
• Must be able to obtain an Indiana Horse Racing License.
• For Engineer I: Possess CFC 608 certification and meet one of the following:
  • Two (2) years of experience in a maintenance field related to hospitality or service industry.
  • Two (2) years of experience in facilities or building maintenance with responsibilities comparable to electrical and mechanical systems.
  • Completed 18 credit hours of trade-related coursework (e.g., Electrical, Mechanical, HVAC, Industrial, Facility/Building Maintenance, Machine Tool Technology) at a trade school, university, or college. Transcripts required.
  • Verifiable documentation of personal experience and practical demonstration of proficiency in technical areas pertinent to the position.
• Specific vision abilities: close, distance, color, and peripheral vision.
• Physical demands: frequent standing, walking, reaching, bending, stooping, lifting (up to 50 pounds), climbing steps, and sitting.
• Must be able to work in a highly populated, fast-paced, and noisy environment.
• Requires access to the gaming floor.
