Engineer I - Electronics Systems

About the role

We are seeking an Early-Career Focal Plane Electrical Systems Engineer to support the development of advanced electronics for focal plane subsystems across various infrared and ultraviolet technologies.

Responsibilities

• Designing and debugging analog and digital circuits using lab tools.
• Developing software and scripts for system configuration, testing automation, and data analysis.
• Creating FPGA solutions for next-generation image sensors, including timing and high-speed data processing.
• Validating FPGA designs through simulation and hardware testing.
• Supporting testing and characterization of cutting-edge focal plane image sensors.
• Collaborating across disciplines on R&D, prototypes, and production programs.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or higher in Engineering or related field; related experience may substitute education.
• Knowledge of digital logic, FPGA design, schematic reading, and troubleshooting skills.
• Programming experience in Python, Ruby, or MATLAB.
