Engineer I, Early Career Development Program (ECDP) - Process / Mechanical-2
About the role
The ECDP Engineer I, Process / Mechanical is a two-year program designed to provide valuable design and field engineering experience. Participants will review plant sites as needed and will be expected to travel approximately 25% of the time.
Responsibilities
- Support engineering activities at facilities including field services work, shutdown/maintenance outage inspections, equipment condition assessments, plant performance testing, incident investigations, and technical troubleshooting.
- Develop hands-on experience with plant systems and engineering activities by performing tasks at increasing levels of responsibility and independence.
- Support design engineering activities for upgrade and new projects, including the collection and review of plant technical information, review and development of P&ID’s, technical drawings, work scope development, option evaluation, concept development, mechanical design calculations, layout sketches, request for vendor proposals, specification development, bid evaluation support, design review, construction inspections, and commissioning support.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Process or Mechanical Engineering.
- Up to 2 years of relevant experience.
- Basic knowledge of AI tools in industrial environments.
- Proficient with MS Office suite.
- Strong educational and technical background.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to gather input and lead a task to completion.

Pay
The base pay range for this role is $57,400.00 - $76,400.00 USD annually. The final salary offered will be determined based on factors including experience, education, geographic location, skills and competencies, travel requirements, and union contracts (if applicable).
