Engineer I - Application Support

The role involves deploying new application software, performing upgrades, troubleshooting technical problems, and interfacing with vendors, developers, and infrastructure teams to ensure timely resolution.

Responsibilities

• Deploy new application software and perform application upgrades following established procedures
• Troubleshoot, identify, and solve technical problems
• Interface with vendors, developers, and infrastructure teams to ensure timely problem resolution
• Maintain system documentation and operational procedures
• Monitor and manage application availability, capacity, and performance based on established metrics
• Develop business flows using out-of-the-box application workflow tools
• Perform daily system monitoring and management, verifying integrity and availability of hardware, server resources, systems, and key processes
• Review system and application logs, and verify completion of scheduled jobs such as backups
• Provision monitoring, patching, antivirus, and managed security services to new clients and devices
• Review all alerts for accuracy and take steps to remediate issues
• Work in a 24-hour on-call capacity
• Maintain working knowledge of all technology used to support dealership operations, including completing user training for operational applications
• Perform all other duties and special projects as assigned
• Review and improve analytics processes, methods, and tools to increase efficiency, accuracy, and security

Requirements

• 3+ years’ experience supporting and designing IT infrastructure
• Breadth and depth of expertise in a technical or functional area
• Strong knowledge of Windows 2003/2008/2012, Active Directory, IIS, and Linux
• Proficiency in various desktop tools including MS Office Programs (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Project, Visio, SharePoint, etc.)

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in Computer Science or related field is preferred
• Additional education, certifications, or other distinctions are a plus

Pay

Starting range of $55,270.00 - $78,760.00 USD annually for full-time employees.
