Responsibilities

  • Develop concepts, execution plans and cost estimates for field service scope of proposals for hydro-power generation projects.
  • Understand technical requirements as well as legal/regional regulations.
  • Ensure availability of all required information.
  • Participate in site assessments.
  • Facilitate clarifications with customers.
  • Prepare specifications for purchased services/supplies and evaluate bids/offers.
  • Identify risks and opportunities during proposal phase and define contingency plans.
  • Facilitate project startup and detail field service concept/plans during project execution.
  • Participate in design review meetings and ensure field related design considerations.
  • Develop and ensure availability of project specific procedures and safety assessments.
  • Determine site layouts, tooling/fixtures and site infrastructure requirements.
  • Ensure availability of HSE and quality plans and documents.
  • Support project managers and site managers in executing the field service scope of projects.
  • Monitor target achievement regarding quality schedule and costs, and support corrective actions.
  • Facilitate identification and allocation of required internal and external resources.
  • Provide technical support and advice to field sites.

Requirements

  • Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electro-mechanical Engineering or related field and 3 years of experience in the Hydro-power generation industry.
  • Must have experience with:
    • Hydroelectric power systems, including hydro turbines, generators, and balance of plant equipment;
    • Reading and interpreting blueprints, specifications, schedules and budgets;
    • Management of hydro-power generation projects from bidding phase to contract execution phase;
    • Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook;
    • Using Oracle Primavera P6 for project scheduling and resource management;
    • OSHA standards applicable to construction and/or general industry environments;
    • AutoCAD, Solid Edge, and SolidWorks.

Pay

Commensurate with experience.

Schedule

10% domestic travel and up to 5% international travel to client sites, including locations throughout the United States and Canada.
