Responsibilities
- Develop concepts, execution plans and cost estimates for field service scope of proposals for hydro-power generation projects.
- Understand technical requirements as well as legal/regional regulations.
- Ensure availability of all required information.
- Participate in site assessments.
- Facilitate clarifications with customers.
- Prepare specifications for purchased services/supplies and evaluate bids/offers.
- Identify risks and opportunities during proposal phase and define contingency plans.
- Facilitate project startup and detail field service concept/plans during project execution.
- Participate in design review meetings and ensure field related design considerations.
- Develop and ensure availability of project specific procedures and safety assessments.
- Determine site layouts, tooling/fixtures and site infrastructure requirements.
- Ensure availability of HSE and quality plans and documents.
- Support project managers and site managers in executing the field service scope of projects.
- Monitor target achievement regarding quality schedule and costs, and support corrective actions.
- Facilitate identification and allocation of required internal and external resources.
- Provide technical support and advice to field sites.
Requirements
- Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electro-mechanical Engineering or related field and 3 years of experience in the Hydro-power generation industry.
- Must have experience with:
- Hydroelectric power systems, including hydro turbines, generators, and balance of plant equipment;
- Reading and interpreting blueprints, specifications, schedules and budgets;
- Management of hydro-power generation projects from bidding phase to contract execution phase;
- Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook;
- Using Oracle Primavera P6 for project scheduling and resource management;
- OSHA standards applicable to construction and/or general industry environments;
- AutoCAD, Solid Edge, and SolidWorks.
Pay
Commensurate with experience.
Schedule
10% domestic travel and up to 5% international travel to client sites, including locations throughout the United States and Canada.
