About the role
We are seeking a MEP Engineer – Equipment Delivery to join our MEP Building Technology team in our Atlanta, GA office. This is a full-time, in-person position.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the mechanical and electrical construction needs of mission-critical facilities and related projects.
- Aid in the procurement of mechanical and electrical equipment, including vendor coordination and contract deliverables.
- Coordinate equipment submittals and manage deliverables from contract award through manufacturing and delivery.
- Communicate regularly with MEP equipment vendors, design engineers, and onsite project teams.
- Track equipment deliveries from manufacturing facilities to project sites and support associated cost tracking.
- Review and interpret electrical, HVAC, plumbing, architectural, and civil drawings and specifications.
- Collaborate with project teams on scopes, schedules, RFIs, and change orders.
- Ensure proper coordination of schedules, logistics, and delivery requirements to support project milestones.
- Develop and maintain effective working relationships with vendors and onsite teams to ensure equipment readiness.
- Utilize standardized tools, processes, and procedures to support successful equipment delivery.
- Track performance using KPIs and support data-driven analysis to improve supply chain efficiency.
- Assist with the development and maintenance of analytical tools, dashboards, and reporting metrics.
- Identify potential issues related to scope, schedule, cost, or logistics and support timely resolution.
- Travel to vendor or integrator facilities as needed for scope alignment, inspections, testing, or commissioning activities.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
- 2+ years of commercial construction experience supporting large, sophisticated mechanical and electrical systems.
- Familiarity with standard concepts, practices, and procedures of MEP systems and equipment.
- Experience coordinating scopes, schedules, RFIs, change orders, and tracking project budgets and costs.
- Ability to read and understand electrical, HVAC, plumbing, architectural, and civil plans and specifications.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities.
- Ability to identify, communicate, and assist with resolving project issues.
- Willingness to travel as required for vendor coordination and offsite activities.
