Engineer – Electrification and Power

Requirements of the role

• Delivering a significant transformation programme to create a consistently agile and enabling organisation.
• Ensuring a strong, inclusive culture that reflects the talented people at ORR.
• Operating as an independent, expert regulator, fit for the future and equipped with the capabilities and ways of working required to support sector-wide rail reform.
• Contributing to the government’s broader agenda on regulatory reform and economic growth.

Responsibilities

• Holding infrastructure managers (IM’s) such as Network Rail and High Speed 1 to account for the asset management of Electrical & Power systems.
• Working with the industry to help shape the progression of Electrical & Power systems to a more sustainable future and a reliable railway.
• Providing subject matter opinion during investigations and Funding periodic reviews.
• Being a key part of the Infrastructure Authorisation process.
