Role: Lead Engineer (Electrical Planning and Design) in Electric Transmission Engineering, focusing on high-voltage system projects. Key Responsibilities Design and engineer transmission lines, including new constructions, refurbishments, and reconductoring projects.Specify, order, and coordinate material procurement; review vendor calculations and drawings.Support environmental and permitting processes, prepare project specifications, procedures, and technical documents.Collaborate with project teams to ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and budget.Build relationships with stakeholders to facilitate information sharing and project success.Provide technical guidance and mentorship to less experienced engineers.Investigate and incorporate new technologies and innovative solutions. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering from an ABET-accredited institution.Minimum of 7 years of professional engineering experience, preferably in transmission engineering.Registered Professional Engineer license and/or advanced degree preferred.Experience with transmission design software such as PLS CADD, PLS POLE, and MFAD.Strong knowledge of industry standards, safety regulations, and design codes, especially NESC.Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite; excellent communication skills.Knowledge of structural analysis, steel and wood pole design, electrical clearance, soil mechanics, and foundation design.
