About the role
Constellation is the largest private-sector power producer in the world and the nation's largest producer of clean and reliable energy. As a CDO Analytical I&C Group Engineer, you will serve as the technical analysis expert for CDO I&C projects, developing engineering calculations and analytical products that support safe, compliant, and cost-effective nuclear plant modifications from project scoping through implementation. The role collaborates with Lead Responsible Engineers (LREs), project managers, site engineering, and design teams on modifications such as PLC logic updates, control software upgrades, and complete digital system upgrades.
Responsibilities
- Perform engineering analyses and calculations to support plant modifications and design activities.
- Develop technical products used to justify design changes and ensure regulatory and design-basis compliance.
- Provide analytical input during project scoping, estimating, and execution.
- Support LREs and project teams by evaluating technical assumptions and engineering solutions.
- Contribute calculation estimates used to develop project budgets and engineering cost estimates.
- Ensure design changes are accurately documented in drawings, calculations, databases, and procedures.
- Responsible for systems design, conceptual designs, procurement/technical requirement specifications, human factors engineering, data communications/networking, cyber security defensive strategies, plant integration, design validation testing (SWIL, FAT), digital configuration management, and digital-specific analytical products (50.59, CCF susceptibility, SHA, CDR, HAZCADS/DRAM).
- Capable of serving as Lead Responsible Engineer (LRE) for assigned modifications.
Requirements
Mid-level Engineer (E02)
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Chemical, Civil/Structural, Electrical, Industrial, Mechanical or Nuclear).
- 2 years of nuclear or related engineering experience.
- Maintain minimum access requirements or unescorted access requirements, as applicable.
- Favorable medical examination and/or testing in accordance with position duties.
Senior Engineer (E03)
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Chemical, Civil/Structural, Electrical, Industrial, Mechanical or Nuclear).
- 5 years of nuclear or related engineering experience.
- Maintain minimum access requirements or unescorted access requirements, as applicable.
- Favorable medical examination and/or testing in accordance with position duties.
Preferred Qualifications
- Professional Engineer Registration.
Pay
Mid-Level: $92,700 - $114,000 per year
Senior Level: $122,400 - $154,000 per year
