About the Role

Performs advanced technical and engineering problem-solving in support of nuclear plant operations. Responsible for technical decisions with excellent knowledge of functional discipline, practical application, and industry codes and regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Provide in-depth technical expertise to develop, manage, and implement engineering analysis, activities, and programs.
  • Offer technical expertise and consultation to identify and resolve equipment and system problems.
  • Manage engineering tasks and issues with accountability for accuracy, completeness, and timeliness.
  • Ensure proper configuration management and adherence to standard design criteria, practices, procedures, and codes.
  • Conduct independent research, reviews, studies, and analyses for technical projects and programs.
  • Recommend equipment, new concepts, and techniques to improve performance, simplify construction, reduce costs, correct design flaws, or comply with regulatory changes.
  • Support emergency response, departmental coverage, call-outs, and outage activities as directed.

Requirements

Mid-Level (E02) Engineer

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Chemical, Civil/Structural, Electrical, Industrial, Mechanical, or Nuclear) with 3 years of nuclear or related engineering experience.
  • Must meet requirements outlined in ANSI/ANS-3.1-2014 (4.3.4) Standard for nuclear power plant personnel.
  • Maintain minimum access or unescorted access requirements and favorable medical examination/testing per position duties.

Senior (E03) Engineer

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Chemical, Civil/Structural, Electrical, Industrial, Mechanical, or Nuclear) with 5 years of nuclear or related engineering experience.
  • Must meet requirements outlined in ANSI/ANS-3.1-2014 Standard for nuclear power plant personnel.
  • Maintain minimum access or unescorted access requirements and favorable medical examination/testing per position duties.

Pay

  • Mid-Level: $92,700–$114,000 per year
  • Senior: $122,400–$154,000 per year

Preferred Qualifications

  • Engineer in Training (EIT) Certification
  • Strong grasp of engineering techniques and understanding of group functions
