About the role

Responsible for performing engineering and technical tasks, under general supervision, in support of nuclear plant operations. Provides in-depth technical expertise to develop, manage and implement engineering analysis, activities and programs. Provides technical expertise and consultation through direct involvement to identify and resolve equipment and system problems. Performs engineering tasks as assigned by supervision applying engineering principles. Accountable for the accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of work ensuring proper configuration management and assuring that standard design criteria, practices, procedures and codes are used in preparation of plans and specifications. Performs independent research, reviews, studies, and analyses in support of technical projects and programs. Recommends equipment, new concepts and techniques to improve performance, simplify construction, reduce costs, correct design or material flaws, or comply with changes in codes or regulations. Performs other job assignments and duties as directed by management or pursuant to company policy, including but not limited to emergency response, departmental coverage, call outs, and support of outage activities in positions outside the department.

Requirements

• Mid-level E02 Engineer:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (chemical, civil/structural, electrical, industrial, mechanical or nuclear)
  • 2 years of nuclear or related engineering experience
• Sr Level E03 Engineer:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Chemical, Civil/Structural, Electrical, Industrial, Mechanical or Nuclear)
  • 5 years of nuclear experience or related engineering experience

Qualifications

• Maintain minimum access requirements or unescorted access requirements, as applicable, and favorable medical examination and/or testing in accordance with position duties.
• For Senior E03 Engineer: Must meet additional requirements as outlined in ANSI/ANS-3.1-2014 Standard, "Selection, Qualification, and Training of Personnel for Nuclear Power Plants."

Skills

• Engineer in training certification
• Good grasp of techniques and a good understanding of the fundamental functions performed by the group

Pay

Ranges are per year based on experience, along with a comprehensive benefits package that includes bonus and 401K.
