About the Role
Researches, develops, designs, and tests electrical components, equipment, systems, and networks. Designs electrical equipment, facilities, components, products, and systems for commercial, industrial, and domestic purposes.
Newport News Shipbuilding requires a Bachelor's Degree in engineering from an ABET accredited program. Electrical background required. The individual must possess well-developed analytical/problem-solving skills and be self-motivated, actively seeking to apply these skills. Experience developing and writing technical documents and strong technical writing skills are required. Strong communication skills are also required.
Must have a Bachelor's Degree and 2 years of relevant exempt experience, or a Master’s Degree and 0 years of relevant professional experience.
Responsibilities
- Interface with trades personnel, test organization, quality department, and US Navy.
Qualifications
- Experience with VCS electrical Rx I&C and propulsion plant systems preferred.

Pay
The anticipated salary range for this role is $89,000.00 to $110,000.00. Final compensation will be determined based on experience, qualifications, and other job-related factors, and may vary from the posted range.
