About the role

AMEWAS is seeking a highly motivated and talented Engineer (ECSTIM)-Journeyman to support Integrated Combat Environment. This position is on-site in Patuxent River, MD and is not eligible for remote work.

Salary range: $100,000.00 - $120,000.00, commensurate with experience.

Responsibilities

  • Work alongside a team of electrical engineers/engineering technicians
  • Develop engineering procedures and controls
  • Manage project efforts and take the lead in problem resolution
  • Interface with program contractors, vendors, and government representatives regarding the technical aspects of engineering projects, test scheduling, planning, and test conduct
  • Learn how to troubleshoot, prepare for testing, and use a sophisticated, state-of-the-art RF stimulator
  • Identify system malfunctions and work to resolve the issue(s) with the team

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering
  • 3 years of relevant work experience
  • Experience with Linux operating systems
  • Experience with active and passive RF components
  • Experience using electronic test equipment (signal generator, network and spectrum analyzer, RF amplifier, oscilloscope, etc.)
  • Ability to obtain and maintain the DoD security clearance eligibility and/or additional security access requirements necessary to perform the duties of the position

Desired Skills

  • Experience with MATLAB
  • Strong understanding of RF Theory
  • Experience with RF stimulator/simulators
  • Completed coursework in Radio Frequency (RF) engineering

Physical Environment and Working Conditions

  • Majority of work performed in an indoor laboratory and anechoic chamber on-site
  • Part of the day spent in an office, sitting in a cubicle or at a desk, using a computer
  • Required to stand, walk, and move throughout the workday
  • Frequent bending and lifting items up to approximately 50 lbs
