About the role
AMEWAS is seeking a highly motivated and talented Engineer (ECSTIM)-Journeyman to support Integrated Combat Environment. This position is on-site in Patuxent River, MD and is not eligible for remote work.
Salary range: $100,000.00 - $120,000.00, commensurate with experience.

Responsibilities
- Work alongside a team of electrical engineers/engineering technicians
- Develop engineering procedures and controls
- Manage project efforts and take the lead in problem resolution
- Interface with program contractors, vendors, and government representatives regarding the technical aspects of engineering projects, test scheduling, planning, and test conduct
- Learn how to troubleshoot, prepare for testing, and use a sophisticated, state-of-the-art RF stimulator
- Identify system malfunctions and work to resolve the issue(s) with the team
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering
- 3 years of relevant work experience
- Experience with Linux operating systems
- Experience with active and passive RF components
- Experience using electronic test equipment (signal generator, network and spectrum analyzer, RF amplifier, oscilloscope, etc.)
- Ability to obtain and maintain the DoD security clearance eligibility and/or additional security access requirements necessary to perform the duties of the position
Desired Skills
- Experience with MATLAB
- Strong understanding of RF Theory
- Experience with RF stimulator/simulators
- Completed coursework in Radio Frequency (RF) engineering

Physical Environment and Working Conditions
- Majority of work performed in an indoor laboratory and anechoic chamber on-site

- Frequent bending and lifting items up to approximately 50 lbs
