Engineer, Contingent Worker (1514924)

About the role

Magnit Direct Sourcing on behalf of Toyota is hiring an Engineer for a temporary assignment in Georgetown, Kentucky. This is a 12‑month contract.

Responsibilities

• Investigate project feasibility, scope, schedule and budget.
• Create scope of work, bid package and project specifications.
• Review technical drawings, provide feedback, negotiate changes.
• Evaluate safety compliance to local and national codes.
• Collaborate with 3rd party Safety Compliance Contractors.
• Collaborate with multiple groups to design and install equipment and meet project milestones.
• Supervise contractors in a green‑field or brown‑field work environment.
• Coordinate installation with skilled trades, affiliate companies, engineers and equipment manufacturers.
• Develop countermeasures for project delays for timely project completion.

Requirements

• BS in Engineering (Mechanical, Chemical, or other relevant discipline) or Technical Trader Certification or equivalent experience.
• 3+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
• 3+ years of project management experience.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
• Ability to review and modify drawings in AutoCAD.
• Experience developing bid specifications and negotiating with contractors.
• 2+ years of technical drawing review experience.
• Experience with process equipment design and installation, including robots.
• Ability to understand and calculate utility costs.
• Experience with Microsoft Project.
• Experience with construction management in green‑field or brown‑field work environments.
