Engineer Co-op

Job Responsibilities

• Work with Mechanical and Electrical Engineers to ensure successful completion of design drawings and design drawing updates.
• Aid Design Engineering Team in developing process and product improvement ideas based on feedback from customers, suppliers, and production teams.
• Participate in Design for Manufacturing and Assembly (DFMA) process.
• Collaborate with Manufacturing Engineers on implementing product improvements.
• Investigate transformer test issues and provide root cause analysis documentation to facilitate resolution discussions.

Qualifications

• Actively enrolled in a Bachelor's degree program with an Electrical or Mechanical Engineering major.
• Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship.
• No relocation benefit is being offered for this position.
• Only candidates within a 50-mile radius of the work location will be considered.
• Active Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation.

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with full product design lifecycle.
• Working knowledge of CAD software.

Skills

• Willingness to participate or lead a multi-functional team.
• Willingness to learn and develop new skillsets as needed.
• Have an on-the-floor presence at all Richmond manufacturing facilities.
• Working knowledge of basic computer systems including but not limited to: Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook.
• Excellent verbal and interpersonal relationship skills.
• Ability to work independently conducting analysis for root cause identification and understanding how to identify problems and reach resolutions is beneficial.

Pay

The hourly rate for this position is $20.77 - $25.96 per hour. Please note the salary information shown above is a general guideline only. Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.
