About the Opportunity

The Engineer, Cloud Security is responsible for leading cybersecurity architecture and operations focused on Microsoft enterprise and cloud security platforms. This role ensures the protection of organizational assets and compliance with security frameworks by designing and implementing security controls across identity, endpoints, cloud infrastructure, and data protection. The position plays a critical role in balancing security, usability, and operational efficiency to safeguard the organization’s infrastructure.

Responsibilities

  • Architect, implement, and administer enterprise security solutions across Microsoft platforms.
  • Collaborate with the Data and Systems team to define architectural standards and reference patterns.
  • Create and maintain security architecture and design documentation.
  • Lead cybersecurity architecture and security design including identity governance and endpoint protection.
  • Implement and tune controls enforcing least privilege, zero-trust principles, and secure device baselines.
  • Manage and coordinate security-related work efforts.

Requirements

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Able to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
  • Able to independently own tasks and processes.
  • Skilled in managing multiple priorities and escalating key issues.
  • Proficient with data visualization tools such as Tableau and Power BI.
  • Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Entra ID, including identity governance and privileged identity management.
  • Expertise with Microsoft Defender XDR for threat detection and response.
  • Experience designing and operating Microsoft Sentinel SIEM.
  • Hands-on experience with Microsoft Intune for endpoint management.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Purview for data classification and protection.
  • Understanding of cloud security posture management and secure configuration baselines.
  • Practical application of NIST Cybersecurity Framework and controls.
  • Experience with vulnerability management, threat intelligence, and incident response.
  • Familiarity with cloud environments, identity and access management, endpoint and network security, data privacy, and zero-trust architecture.
  • Understanding of system interactions and business process impacts.
  • Experience or coursework with AWS security services, cloud-native security tooling, endpoint hardening, and SQL databases.

Pay Range and Compensation Package

The pay range and compensation package for this role will be determined based on the candidate’s experience, skills, and other relevant factors.
