Position Description
Under general supervision, the Licensed Engineer reports to the Director of Plant Operation and preforms a variety of routine or skilled preventive maintenance duties in the repair, alteration, & modification of buildings, equipment, & facilities.
Requirements
- Three (3) years of experience as a plant operator.
- Acute hospital setting is preferred.
- High School graduate or equivalent required.
- Associates of Arts degree in Engineering or technical disciplines in Plant Operations, HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing, or equivalent.
- Ability to demonstrate knowledge of equipment, controls, and building automation maintenance.
- Ability to read blueprints, schematic drawings and technical manuals.
- Light locksmith skills.
- Written and verbal communications, interpersonal skills.
- Basic organizational and computer skills.
- Steam Engineer License, Electrician License, Journeyman or certification in a specific trade (Boiler, HVAC, Refrigeration, Electrician, Plumbing) OR 10 years minimum experience.
- Environment Protection Agency required.
- Valid CA Driver’s License required.
