About the role

This is a 1-year contract (W-2) position located in Palm Beach Gardens, FL. You will perform engineering assignments of varying scope and complexity, working under guidance with increasing independence. Responsibilities include project management, technical analysis, decision-making, and engineering oversight with a focus on utility-scale solar, BESS, and power plant operations. You will ensure designs meet project specifications, safety standards, and long-term performance goals.

Responsibilities

• Provide interpretations and conclusions from data, develop technical documentation, and offer technical guidance to lower-level engineers and technicians.
• Prepare job cost estimates, pole bore details, NJUNS forms, and other required documents for construction and maintenance projects.
• Promote a safe and inclusive work environment.
• Perform specialized engineering functions in the following areas:
  • Electrical/I&C Engineering: Electric distribution systems, power systems, ladder logic, safe shutdown analysis, computational tools (ETAP, EDISON).
  • Mechanical Engineering: Pumps, valves, heat exchangers, pipe stress analysis, ASME standards.
  • Civil/Structural Engineering: Design and manage civil infrastructure components, including foundations, site grading, drainage systems, seismic qualification, pipe supports, GT Strudel, welding, rigging.
  • MOV Valve Engineering: Diagnostics, troubleshooting, valve program management.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science in Engineering.
• 1–5 years of experience in engineering studies and analysis, applying engineering-related disciplines to solve moderate-difficulty assignments.
• Knowledge of Power BI (helpful qualification).
• Understanding of renewables technology (power plants).
• Ability to pass regulatory training, background, and psychometric checks.

Pay

The base salary range for this position is $35.00/hr to $40.00/hr, dependent on experience, qualifications, and skills.
