Engineer, Advanced
Our Technology Division is looking for an Engineer with expertise in MuleSoft and Salesforce. This position supports the US Treasury's Retail Securities operation, providing critical financial services to the American public. You will work primarily on MuleSoft components for a new Salesforce implementation, developing and supporting integrations with legacy systems, modern enterprise solutions, and evolving cloud-based solutions.
About the role
In this role, you will provide thought leadership on MuleSoft best practices, support existing configurations and integrations, and develop new APIs, integrations, and automation to enhance the Salesforce platform and Retail Securities operations.
Responsibilities
- Resolve complex and critical hardware, environmental software, operating systems, and subsystems issues.
- Lead problem avoidance efforts and provide mentorship to team members.
- Direct technical work and set direction for team members in a collaborative manner.
- Influence technology decisions across the Federal Reserve district and system.
- Develop problem resolution for application software or hardware; conduct research and testing to determine causes and implement corrections.
- Evaluate, recommend, and select new software/hardware; review and revise existing system logic and documentation.
- Prepare detailed specifications for application programs and analyze existing systems.
- Design, build, test, debug, document, and maintain solutions using diverse technologies within existing standards and processes.
- Perform change and problem management using standard tools and ensure conformance with system capabilities.
- Authorize high-risk changes and recommend solutions to prevent system interruptions.
- Lead critical and highly technical projects using internal and external resources.
- Ensure adherence to technical standards for programming and design; train staff on software/hardware tools.
- Contribute to the development and revision of department standards and procedures.
- Ensure compliance with internal audit requirements and Information Security Manual guidelines.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of nine (9) years of relevant work experience, OR
- Master’s degree and a minimum of seven (7) years of relevant work experience, OR
- Associate degree and a minimum of eleven (11) years of relevant work experience.
- Experience with the Salesforce platform, including best practices and technical familiarity.
- Ability to deliver complex solutions and new features on the Salesforce platform.
- Hands-on experience developing APIs, integrations, and automation using MuleSoft.
Pay
Salary range for this position: $124,900 – $187,300. The final offer will be based on qualifications, experience, market alignment, internal equity, and the needs of the position.
