Engineer 3, Controls Vehicle (Trailer)

On-siteEngineering$90k–$135k/yrFull-time
We need to output HTML fragment with sections: About the role? The posting includes intro paragraph about Bendix, but we should not repeat job title as heading. We need to include sections only when there is real specific content. We have Position Summary, Responsibilities (Essential Functions), Knowledge, Experience, Skills, Education, Travel, Pay (salary range), Benefits (vacation, holidays, parental leave, 401k, healthcare, stock purchase, bonuses). Also maybe "Requirements" but we have Position Requirements (generic). We should not include sections with filler like "commensurate with experience". We have actual salary range, benefits details. We need to use

for section headings (e.g., About the role, Responsibilities, Requirements, Qualifications, Skills, Benefits, Pay, Schedule). We should map content to these headings. The posting doesn't have explicit "About the role" but we have Position Summary and intro. Could use "About the role" for summary. Responsibilities: Essential Functions. Requirements: maybe combine Knowledge, Experience, Education? But we have separate sections Knowledge, Experience, Skills, Education. Could use "Qualifications" for combined knowledge/experience/education? But instructions: Use headings from list; we can choose which to include. We should not create headings with no content. We'll include: About the role (summary), Responsibilities, Knowledge, Experience, Skills, Education, Pay, Benefits, Travel (maybe Schedule? Travel is not schedule but we have Travel up to 25%; could put under Schedule? But Schedule heading is for schedule info; we have travel, not schedule. Could omit Schedule. We'll include Travel as maybe under "Schedule"? Better to not create Schedule if no schedule info. We'll omit Schedule. We need to preserve all substantive information. We'll need to list items as
  • where appropriate. For prose, use

. We must not include boilerplate like EEO, legal, application instructions. Remove duplicated lines. Let's extract content: Intro: "Want to help shape tomorrow? We’re part of the Knorr-Bremse Group, the global leader in braking technologies. As part of our team, you’ll collaborate with a world of talented and dedicated colleagues whose sense of purpose complements your own. You’ll find rewarding opportunities, diverse experiences, partnerships, and an unwavering commitment to ethics and integrity." Position Summary: "This position is responsible for supporting the Trailer electronics products and systems. Responsibilities include validation, production release, testing, application, and customer support of trailer ABS, roll stability and other related electronics systems for trailers. Production release responsibilities will include the creation of applicable specifications, test plans, drawings, and FMEAs. Customer application and support responsibilities include release of new variants to support customer applications; track and HIL testing to support product releases, competitive benchmarking, and new applications; provide training, support new customer orders; and work closely with senior technical personnel to troubleshoot and resolve customer issues." Essential Functions list (many bullet-like sentences). We'll convert each sentence to

  • . Knowledge list: bullet points. Experience list: bullet points. Skills list: bullet points. Education: bullet. Travel: "Up to 25% required" Pay: salary range $89,900 to $134,900 per year plus description. Benefits: healthcare, dental, vision, basic life and disability insurance; 401k; 120 hours vacation; 40 hours Personal Paid Absence; 12 paid holidays + 1 floating; 6 weeks paid parental leave; ability to purchase company stock; annual bonuses up to 4% of salary. We should not include generic statements like "Provided they meet all eligibility requirements..." but we can keep as part of benefits description. We need to avoid repeating info. Let's craft HTML. Structure:

    About the role

Want to help shape tomorrow? At Bendix, we set the standard with advanced dynamic solutions that drive improved commercial vehicle performance and safety. We’re part of the Knorr-Bremse Group, the global leader in braking technologies. As part of our team, you’ll collaborate with a world of talented and dedicated colleagues whose sense of purpose complements your own. You’ll find rewarding opportunities, diverse experiences, partnerships, and an unwavering commitment to ethics and integrity.

Position Summary: This position is responsible for supporting the Trailer electronics products and systems. Responsibilities include validation, production release, testing, application, and customer support of trailer ABS, roll stability and other related electronics systems for trailers. Production release responsibilities will include the creation of applicable specifications, test plans, drawings, and FMEAs. Customer application and support responsibilities include release of new variants to support customer applications; track and HIL testing to support product releases, competitive benchmarking, and new applications; provide training, support new customer orders; and work closely with senior technical personnel to troubleshoot and resolve customer issues.

But we might not need bold; just prose. Better to keep summary as

. Then Responsibilities: we could combine Position Summary and Essential Functions? But we have separate Responsibilities heading. We'll put Essential Functions as list under Responsibilities. Thus:

    Responsibilities

    • Develop product functional and technical requirements based on feedback from vehicle OEMs, fleets, competitive analysis, and benchmarking
    • Assignments will include product and feature design requirements definition, cross-product communication interfaces, product testing, and release
    • Author design specifications, product specifications, component drawings and test specifications
    • Author and update DFMEAs (including linkage activity of S/C’s and C/C’s – critical characteristics) and other safety-related analyses
    • Create and organize test plans (Software, electrical and Vehicle test) based on product requirements, oversee testing, interpret results, and document testing using Design Verification Plan & Report (DVP&R)
    • Support efforts related to product functional safety
    • Perform essential project management tasks - maintain project status and milestones; report out to management; anticipate workload, potential delays, potential problems
    • Travel to test track, winter test facility, customer demos, and customer facilities to support the application and installation of trailer electronics systems on Customer and OEM vehicles
    • Train customers on features and functions of the trailer electronic systems products and provide technical support to customers
    • Support field troubleshooting calls as needed
    • Understand and refine requirements for new Trailer product opportunities
    • Testing embedded software for final product validation
    • Develop and execute technical plans (analysis, simulation, vehicle test) to validate system release and product applications
    • Release of products and documentation pertaining to new product development offerings at customers compliant with the Global Change Management process and ASPICE concepts (V-model development, requirements traceability), using tools such as Teamcenter PLM and PTC Integrity
    • Software / Hardware in the loop testing
    • Interface with Product Management and Sales teams in identifying enhancements and solving customer issues
    • Re-produce and resolve complex technical issues in a timely manner
    • Willing to travel (test track, customer locations, winter test) as required up to 25%
But note travel appears also later; we have travel bullet and also separate Travel section. Might duplicate. We'll keep travel in Responsibilities? Actually travel is a requirement; we have Travel section later. We'll keep travel bullet maybe under Responsibilities but also have Travel section summarizing. To avoid duplication, we could remove travel bullet from Responsibilities and keep Travel section. However the responsibilities list includes travel to test track etc. That's part of responsibilities. The Travel section just says "Up to 25% required". Might be redundant. We could keep travel bullet in Responsibilities and not have separate Travel section. But the instruction says include Schedule section only if posting has schedule info; travel is not schedule. We could omit Travel section. However the posting explicitly has "Travel: Up to 25% required". That's a specific piece of info; we should include it. Could put under a heading "Travel". But allowed headings list includes Schedule only, not Travel. However we can still use heading "Travel"? The instruction says use

for section headings (e.g. About the role, Responsibilities, Requirements, Qualifications, Skills, Benefits, Pay, Schedule). It gives examples but not exclusive list? It says "use

for section headings (e.g. About the role, Responsibilities, Requirements, Qualifications, Skills, Benefits, Pay, Schedule)." Likely they expect only those headings. So we should not create a Travel heading. We could fold travel info into Responsibilities or Requirements. Since travel is a requirement, we can put under Requirements or maybe under Responsibilities. We'll include travel bullet in Responsibilities (already there). Then we don't need separate Travel heading. Now Knowledge section:
