- Takes initiative to pull the team together to accomplish the common goal of delivering the project the customer expects.
- Presents design issues to customer and supplier.
- Strong oral and written communication skills to resolve design issues persuasively with subordinates, subcontractors, and clients.
- Communicates in a clear, precise and respectful manner with team.
- Uses and manages Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Mathcad.
- Independently develops models and performs analysis/design software such as ETABS, SAFE, and SAP2000.
- Knowledge of design and construction requirements for prestressed and post-tensioned concrete.
Requirements
- 5+ years of engineering experience.
- Knowledge of standard contract requirements and scope as they relate to work.
- Understanding of standard engineering work planning, scheduling, and cost estimating.
- Basic understanding of PT systems and repair and strengthening techniques.
- Understands the concepts of shoring and advanced load alteration design.

Safety Duties
- Promotes 24/7 Safety Culture and exhibits a Safety 24/7 attitude in all situations.
- Is extremely safety conscious in all situations.
- Sets an example for others by demonstrating that safety is a core value.
- Wears all Personal Protection Equipment required by safety specifications when visiting jobsite/shop.
Physical Requirements
- Sitting for extended periods of time.
- Dexterity of hand and fingers to operate a computer, and other office equipment.
- Has visual acuity to see items clearly and sharply and to recognize small detail.
- Able to speak and hear detailed information through oral communication.
Special Requirements
- Able to travel as needed to project sites.
- Flexible with work hours.
- Possess valid driver's license in order to operate rental cars when traveling for company business.
- Willing to work at heights up to 650 feet off the ground.
