Engineer 1

About the role

This is a full-time year-round on-site position. This role will provide service and repairs to hotel equipment including electrical, plumbing, steam, gas, fire & safety, HVAC refrigeration, interior, paint and decorating, and respond to inquiries and problems in an efficient, courteous and professional manner to achieve guest satisfaction.

They will plan, organize, control and direct the workflow of the engineering requests.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for repairs and maintenance of the building as required by the operation or special projects assigned by Director of Engineering and/or the Assistant Director of Engineering.
• This position may also respond to inquiries and problems in an efficient, courteous and professional manner to achieve guest satisfaction.

Requirements

• Minimum 4 + years previous experience plant maintenance and operation, including chillers, boilers hot water and steam, pumps, softeners, VFD, DB, pool equipment etc., certifications preferred.
• Requires technical knowledge of general building maintenance including HVAC equipment, plumbing, electrical in addition laundry and kitchen equipment knowledge is preferred.
• Good organizational skills and ability to keep his working areas and storage in neat condition.
• Able to operate computer equipment.
• This role has direct contact with guests and as such, good communication skills are a necessity.

Qualifications

• Fluency in English is required for this location and this job requires applicants to have current work authorization in the in the United States.
• Ability to speak Spanish preferred.

Skills

Schedule & Hours

• This is a full-time position.
• A successful candidate will have the ability to work morning, afternoon, and evening shifts, weekends, and holidays.
