Engine Specialist

Responsibilities

• Perform jobs involving the service and repair of equipment, including earth moving equipment, diesel engines, electric power generators, lift trucks, and allied products.
• Diagnose, repair, and rebuild diesel engines and components such as cylinder heads, water pumps, oil coolers, turbochargers, electric starters, alternators, fuel systems, etc.
• Order and return parts for assigned jobs in a timely manner.
• Use correct tools and procedures for minor and major repairs.
• Follow CAT Reusability Guidelines when performing repairs and rebuilds.
• Use service information systems effectively.
• Adhere to and follow all applicable and required safety standards and procedures.
