About the Role

We are seeking a curious, hands-on Mechanical or Agricultural Engineer to join the Engine Installation Systems team within the CNH Large Tractor & Crop Production product line. This role is ideal for a recent graduate or early-career engineer eager to develop practical engineering skills while contributing to real products used by farmers worldwide.

The engineer will support the design and development of cooling, air intake, exhaust, fuel, and DEF systems used to integrate world-class engines into CNH large tractor, sprayer, and spreader applications. This position offers exposure to product design, CAD modeling, engineering analysis, supplier and manufacturing collaboration, design reviews, validation activities, and production support. The role follows a hybrid work model, combining on-site and remote work.

Responsibilities

  • Create and update product designs, drawings, specifications, and 3D models using engineering design software and product data management tools such as PTC Creo and Teamcenter.
  • Support the design and packaging of engine installation subsystems, including cooling, air intake, exhaust, fuel, and DEF systems.
  • Work with experienced engineers to perform engineering calculations, design checks, and basic analysis to support product performance, durability, safety, and reliability.
  • Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, purchasing, suppliers, and product teams to ensure designs meet functional, quality, cost, manufacturability, and serviceability requirements.
  • Participate in design reviews, capture feedback, and help refine designs as they move from concept through validation and production release.
  • Prepare and maintain technical documentation, including drawings, design notes, specifications, test support information, and engineering reports.
  • Develop technical knowledge of agricultural equipment, engine installation systems, product development processes, and engineering best practices through mentorship and project experience.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Agricultural Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related engineering field.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and interest in designing, building, testing, or improving mechanical systems.
  • Basic understanding of mechanical design principles, engineering drawings, materials, manufacturing processes, and problem-solving.
  • Ability to communicate clearly, work in a team environment, learn quickly, and follow through on assigned work.
  • Internship, co-op, senior design, Formula SAE, Baja SAE, robotics, farm equipment, automotive, or hands-on mechanical project experience is helpful but not required.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Interest or experience with agricultural, off-highway, construction, automotive, or heavy equipment systems.
  • Exposure to CAD tools, preferably PTC Creo, and product data management systems such as Teamcenter.
  • Familiarity with engine-related subsystems such as cooling, exhaust, air intake, fuel, or DEF systems.
  • Hands-on experience with equipment maintenance, repair, fabrication, testing, troubleshooting, or field use.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving ability through coursework, internships, projects, clubs, or work experience.
  • Ability to work across functions and communicate with engineering, manufacturing, suppliers, and product teams.
  • Motivation to learn, take initiative, ask good questions, and grow into a strong product development engineer.

Pay

The annual salary for this role is USD $74,625.00 - $114,425.00 plus any applicable bonus. Actual salaries will vary based on factors such as skill, experience, and qualifications for the role.
