Engagement Operations Development Team Product Owner (PO)

About the role

Aviation & Missile Solutions, LLC. (AMS) is seeking a Engagement Operations Development Team Product Owner (PO) to join our diverse team, in Huntsville, AL., to create unique solutions for complex problems. AMS provides responsive, cost-effective engineering and scientific solutions ranging from air and missile defense technologies, command and control, radar systems, seekers, modeling & simulation, and prototype hardware development and testing. The Air and Missile Defense (AMD) Engagement Operations Team Product Owner (PO) will work as a member of the Army Program Executive Office Missiles and Space (PEO MS) Integrated Fires Mission Command (IFMC) Project Office (PO).

Responsibilities

• Prioritization and validation of the development software for the Engagement Operations team
• Reviewing and understanding Systems Engineering concepts, designs and algorithms and providing guidance to the development team
• Working with Program management in setting priorities for the capabilities and defects for the team for each product increment and sprint
• Technical briefings and advisement to leadership on status and recommended courses of action, competing capabilities, performance, risks, and impacts to the IFMC mission

Qualifications

• Basic understanding of Engagement Operations (EO) concepts to include engagement planning/scheduling, threat evaluation, target selection, battlespace prediction and sensor resource management
• Ability to provide oversight to EO SW development team and verify the teams work based on agreed upon acceptance criteria
• Ability to work directly with the Agile software developers
• Fluent in the Microsoft Office toolset
• US citizen
• Bachelor's degree (or advanced degree) from an accredited college (ABET preferred) in engineering, the sciences or mathematics
• Minimum of 10 years combined Government/DoD experience in performing the essential duties listed above

Preferred qualifications

• Knowledge in IBCS, PATRIOT, MEADS, THAAD, C2BMC, or AEGIS
• Familiar with current EO implementations in one or more of the DoD services
• Prior Product Owner experience on a SCRUM team

Candidate must be able to obtain a Secret security clearance or higher.
