Responsibilities

  • Write simple correspondence.
  • Present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and employees.
  • Lead Engage Life programs.
  • Offer adequate and diversified recreational activities to residents with supervision.
  • Develop and implement programs for residents, including those confined to their rooms.
  • Motivate and engage residents to participate in activities.
  • Inform residents about upcoming activities and maintain a current schedule of events.
  • Greet new residents, including making efforts to include and engage them in activities.
  • Plan parties and activities, decorate the community according to the season and/or holiday, and plan monthly birthday parties.
  • Support and assist in Bright Beginnings, including housewarmings.
  • Participate in community’s census building initiatives.
  • Record all activities, resident participation levels, and acceptance of each activity by residents.
  • Enlist the services of volunteers to aid the activities program.
  • Drive company vehicle from community to social and other various destinations (if required).

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Three to six months related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Ability to communicate effectively in writing.
  • Effective communication skills in presenting information to customers, clients, and employees.
  • Ability to motivate and engage residents.
  • Ability to organize and maintain records of activities and resident participation.
