About the role
This full-time position is located on a jobsite in Yerington, NV and will require travel. Specific location details and expectations will be discussed during the interview process.
Responsibilities
- Perform all essential Project Engineer responsibilities
- Attend and document project meetings (scribe, save & distribute meeting minutes)
- Set up and maintain project filing system
- Update and maintain all sets of drawings, specifications and logs
- Distribute required documentation to Subcontractors
- Document Non-conforming Reports in Sunscreen, track corrective actions and final sign off
- Prepare project specific QA/QC checklist for field inspections
- Conduct QA/QC inspections and prepare reports
- Assist with preparation of Pre-task planning for Definable Features of Work and Golden Block process
- Conduct and document SWPP inspections
- Evaluate field problems, prepare and submit RFI’s with Superintendent approval
- Prepare and maintain RFI logs
- Review, evaluate, and transmit submittals
- Prepare and maintain submittal logs
- Organize and maintain progress photos for QA/QC, weekly & monthly reports
- Maintain on site redline drawings and Permit set for AHJ review
- Collect and file all 3rd party testing results
- Collect and file calibration of testing equipment
- Compile contract close out documents (Job Book, OEM manuals, as-built drawings, etc.)
- Document and track punch list work and sign off
- Mentor new Project Engineers
- Participate in Department wide initiatives for Quality standards
- Contribute to the development and improvement of Standard Work Instructions for the field
- Support Superintendent, Asst. Project Manager and Project Manager as needed
- Complete other responsibilities as assigned
Requirements
- Engineering, Construction Management, or Architectural degree, or completion of Construction Management Certificate Program, or equivalent
- Minimum 2 years as Project Engineer
- Field experience required
- Basic estimating and scheduling skills
- Ability to read and understand plans and specifications
- Effective written and verbal English language communication skills
- Ability to use independent judgment; self-starter
- Drafting skills desirable
- Computer skills required

Pay
Compensation range: $90,468.00 - $113,085.00 (salary).
