Summary

Mortenson is seeking an experienced Electrical Commissioning Engineer I and II to join their Energy Storage Group. The role involves providing electrical technical support throughout the construction project, with travel required. Positions are available at various locations including CA, NM, TX, CO, and the base pay range varies based on experience and location.

Responsibilities

- Reviewing owner project requirements - Assisting in scope reviews - Creating commissioning plans, checklists, and tests - Performing field visits and observing commissioning inspections and tests - Writing issue descriptions and field reports - Creating Systems Manuals - Building and maintaining relationships with diverse teams - Supporting system tests including NETA, SCADA, controls, and operations verification of energy storage systems

Qualifications

Electrical Commissioning Engineer I

- Bachelor’s degree in Construction, Civil, or Architectural, Mechanical, and/or Electrical Engineering or related field - Minimum one year of construction management or commissioning experience, preferably with a MEP Contractor, Commissioning firm - Detail-oriented to organize and manage multiple project tasks - Basic understanding of key construction documents and their relationship to construction Project Management and Field Executions - Fundamental knowledge of commissioning processes and commissioning process delivery - Ability to relate construction deliverables to commissioning deliverables - Intermediate-level Microsoft Office, project, and web application skills - Positive attitude, strong customer service skills, active listening, and effective communication - Ability to travel 100%

Electrical Commissioning Engineer II

- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering - Minimum three years in electrical construction management or electrical design - Utility experience preferred - Strong teamwork orientation, initiative, communication, problem-solving, and leadership skills - Detail-oriented to organize and run multiple project tasks - Basic understanding of construction law, business practices, techniques, and project management practices - Intermediate-level Microsoft Office, project, and web application skills - Positive professional attitude, strong customer service skills - Effective interpretation and communication of Mortenson policies - Open to diverse input and feedback - Ability to work with diverse backgrounds and organizational levels - Strong cross-cultural relationship building and influencing - Consistent record of including diverse team members in challenging tasks - Working knowledge of NEC code and NE safety code - Current driver's license
