Responsibilities
- Lead energy interconnection and service contract management and procurement-related tasks and reporting, including vendor onboarding, direct debit enrollment, purchase order initiation, and invoice and PO tracking and troubleshooting
- Work with the team to develop capital expense forecasts, track actuals and communicate variance commentary to stakeholders
- Lead data center energy OPEX tracking, billing setup and troubleshooting
- Own the relationship with internal contracts and procurement partners
- Develop and improve systematic solutions to streamline the procurement and contract processes
- Collaborate with internal partners on professional service budget tracking, forecasting, and reporting
- Maintain relationships with finance and other key cross-functional partners
- Support the tracking and provide updates on energy utility bills
- Aid in the development and maintenance of internal tools and tracking systems (e.g., SharePoint sites, document libraries, internal dashboards)
Requirements
- Experienced with high volume utility bills, payment processes, managing complex purchase orders and MSAs
- 6+ years of experience in energy procurement, energy sourcing, or energy supply strategy within the utility, independent power, or large energy consumer sector
- Experience building and managing relationships with a variety of cross-functional partners
- Fluent in contracting and procurement languages, principles, and practices
- Experienced in data analytics
Qualifications
- Demonstrated ability to integrate AI tools to optimize/redesign workflows and drive measurable impact (e.g., efficiency gains, quality improvements)
- Experience adhering to and implementing responsible, ethical AI practices (e.g., risk assessment, bias mitigation, quality and accuracy reviews)
- Demonstrated ongoing AI skill development (e.g., prompt/context engineering, agent orchestration) and staying current with emerging AI technologies
- Knowledge of behind-the-meter generation, battery storage, or microgrid solutions as components of data center energy supply strategy
- Experience sourcing energy specifically for data center, hyperscale, or other large-scale critical infrastructure load
- Experience with renewable energy certificate tracking, carbon accounting, or sustainability reporting frameworks relevant to large energy portfolios
Pay
$132,000/year to $188,000/year + bonus + equity + benefits
