Energy Rating Specialist - CLEAResult - Providence, RI
Job Description
Successful candidates will be able to travel around Rhode Island.
Responsibilities
- Review construction blueprints and plans
- Generate energy modeling using REM-Rate/EKOTROPE software
- Visit sites during construction
- Collect site data and perform diagnostic testing, including the use of blower door and duct blaster
- Collect and produce documentation related to the progress, status, and outcome of each project, and prepare and submit required documents to verify code compliance, green certification, and rebate eligibility
- Successfully communicate technical concepts to contractors in support of energy efficiency and green specifications
- Initiate outreach to potential clients to ensure program enrollment goals are met
- Enroll clients in the program
- Work with project teams to establish goals and identify available resources for each project
- Support projects from initial modeling to final construction, and assist project teams with meeting their goals (energy savings, code compliance, green verification)
- Provide project teams with technical assistance and training to overcome barriers, achieve their goals and secure applicable program incentives
- Participate in ongoing training and education provided by CLEAResult to build a solid technical knowledge of building science, diagnostics testing and the latest industry developments
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree preferred (Building Science - Architecture, Engineering, Construction or related field); field experience may substitute for degree for right candidate
- Experience in Residential Construction preferred
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
Qualifications
- Passion for sustainability and energy efficiency
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
- Knowledge of residential construction practices and standards
Skills
- Proficiency with REM-Rate/EKOTROPE software
- Experience with blower door and duct blaster diagnostic tools
- Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work effectively with contractors and clients

Pay
Target compensation: $64,000 - $66,000 depending on experience.
Currency: USD

Any offered salary is determined based on internal equity, internal salary ranges, market data/ranges, applicant’s skills and prior relevant experience, certain degrees and certifications (e.g. JD/technology), for example.
Schedule
Flexible schedule to accommodate travel around Rhode Island.
