To learn more, visit arcxis.com. Overview We are seeking an Energy Modeler to join our team. The Energy Modeler will create detailed design drawings using CAD software and perform energy modeling analysis for residential structures using whole building analysis programs such as Ekotrope, and EnergyPro. The Energy Modeler will work closely with other members of the design team to produce accurate, high-quality designs that meet the needs of the project. Primary Responsibilities Working knowledge of CAD software (AutoCAD and/or Sketchup).Ability to analyze design sketches and specifications to create technical drawingsStrong attention to detail to ensure drawings are accurate according to specificationsTime management skills to work with multiple projects and competing deadlinesAbove average mathematical skills Additional Duties And Responsibilities Include The Following Create detailed design drawings using CAD softwareEvaluate existing designs and develop new and improved designsEnsure design drawings meet industry standards and specificationsMaintain documentation of designsObtain HERS Rater Certification Reports to: Energy Modeling Manager Requirements Education, Experience and Desired Qualifications: Experience in CAD designBasic Microsoft ExcelHERS Rater or Modeler Certification a plusExcellent analytical and problem-solving skillsAttention to detail and accuracyAbility to work independently and in a team environmentStrong written and verbal communication skillsThe ability to read and understand a set of residential architectural plansStrong time management and organization skills Supervisory Responsibility: None Work Environment: Office Physical Demands: Substantial movements (motions) of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers. The worker is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading. Position Type/Expected Hours of Work: 40 hours; Office open 7am-6pm M-F
