About the role
Serves as Energy Initiatives Program Manager with oversight of Planning, Operations, Infrastructure, Equipment, Training, End-to-End Distribution, Information Management Systems, Resources, and Life-Cycle Management. Leads multiple interrelated projects to develop and coordinate energy management strategy, policy, and procedures. Conducts management studies and surveys to facilitate mission changes, new technology identification/testing/implementation, and support of developing energy initiatives. Provides planning, resource analysis, budget management, cost accounting, and performance reporting for individual joint energy initiatives. Performs assessments including economic analyses, surveys, and organizational studies; participates in strategic planning events; develops policy documents, implementation plans, and effective end-to-end distribution processes. Prepares and presents informational briefings on logistics issues affecting the DLA Energy supply chains.

- Appointment subject to completion of a favorable suitability or fitness determination; unfavorably adjudicated background checks will be grounds for removal

Qualifications
To qualify at the GS-13 level, applicants must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 level or equivalent under other pay systems in the Federal service, military, or private sector.
Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience that equipped you with the particular competencies to successfully perform the duties of the position and is directly in or related to this position.
- Performs operational planning for bulk petroleum and/or other energy commodities, including electricity, natural gas, coal, alternatives and renewables
- Identifies functional deficiencies, conducts requirement analysis, identifies solutions, and performs implementation planning of those solutions in Bulk Petroleum and/or other Energy Supply Chains
- Researches, prepares, and presents operational details, capabilities, and informational briefings on logistics issues affecting energy supply chains
