About the role

The Energy & Infrastructure Associate will lead and support energy and infrastructure M&A and/or project finance transactions. They will draft and negotiate project and finance documents including credit agreements, purchase agreements, and development contracts. The role involves advising on complex multi-jurisdictional transactions involving conventional and renewable energy assets, coordinating with cross-functional teams on regulatory, tax, and environmental issues.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and support energy and infrastructure M&A and/or project finance transactions
  • Draft and negotiate project and finance documents including credit agreements, purchase agreements, and development contracts
  • Advise on complex multi-jurisdictional transactions involving conventional and renewable energy assets
  • Cook up with cross-functional teams on regulatory, tax, and environmental issues

Requirements

  • 3–6 years of experience with a focus on project finance and/or M&A
  • Comfortable leading transactions and managing client relationships
  • Strong analytical and drafting skills with excellent attention to detail
  • JD from a top-tier law school and strong academic record
  • Member of the Texas Bar (or eligible to waive in)

Qualifications

  • Must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident
  • Must have a valid driver’s license
  • Must be able to travel up to 20% of the time

  • Strong negotiation and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite

Pay

Salary Range: $305,000 – $390,000 (DOE)
