Energy Engineer
About the role
The Energy Engineer will support the Energy Practice Area's diverse project types in a team environment. Key responsibilities include data collection, utility bill disaggregation, field visits, energy calculations, developing energy measure descriptions and scope of work packages, supporting the design team, collaborating with project managers and engineers, and producing annual M&V reports.

- Support construction and Sales
- Able to work on and prioritize multiple projects
- Collaborate with Project Managers and other Engineers
- Develop measurement & verification (M&V) plans
- Produce annual M&V reports
- QA/QC of your own assigned tasks and projects
- Able to support construction activities during implementation
- Experience working on energy audits and/or energy related construction projects a huge plus
- Able to communicate effectively with internal staff and clients
- Able to travel around 10%
Qualifications
- 0 to 3 years of relevant experience in technical areas (i.e., lighting, HVAC, solar, other renewables)
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Energy Management, or a related field is ideal
- Certified Energy Manager in Training (CEM IT) or other industry related certifications a plus
- Experience with Microsoft Office software required
- Building modeling experience, a plus
- Hands on HVAC and commissioning/retro-commissioning a plus
- Able to complete multiple tasks on multiple projects
- QA/QC of your own assigned tasks and projects
- Able to support construction activities during implementation
- Experience working on energy audits and/or energy related construction projects a huge plus
- Excellent communication skills
- Able to collaborate with internal staff and clients
- Some Travel is required (around 10%)

Pay
The salary range for this position is $60,000 - $80,000, with the salary offered based on relevant education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, and regional adjustment factors.
