About the Role

This role is responsible for overseeing the development, administration, and monitoring of federally funded programs and projects. The primary responsibility is to ensure programs comply with local, state, and federal regulations, adhere to outlined guidelines and procedures, and maintain proper documentation to support all eligible expenses incurred by the client or agency. The Deputy Program Manager provides high-level expertise in project management, compliance and monitoring, federal reporting, procurement, construction, and eligibility standards applicable to each project.

Responsibilities

  • Manages and tracks agency spends and project progress.
  • Interfaces with client agencies and senior program staff.
  • Ensures the delivery of timely, effective, and high-quality results to support client and agency goals.
  • Ensures high-quality service to all clients, maintaining the firm’s reputation for superior client services.
  • Leads Team Leads and Case Managers.
  • Performs other duties as required.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree (required).
  • Three or more years of experience with state and local governments, including initiatives to build economy and culture (required).
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and project management software (required).
  • Demonstrated ability to monitor program and project activities for quality control and assurance, ensuring preparedness for federal audits.
  • Proven success managing complex cross-functional teams to meet tight deadlines and deliver compliant, high-quality work.
  • Demonstrated success in program execution, client relationships, and profitability.
  • Strong track record of leading teams and achieving business results.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities.

Pay

California Range: $90,000 - $125,000. Individual salaries are determined based on qualifications, experience, skills, and geography.
