About the role

This role will be responsible for designing and implementing security controls to protect data, applications, and infrastructure from evolving cyber threats. The Security Engineer will collaborate cross-functionally to provide technical security expertise, develop threat simulation methodologies to evaluate risks and predict attack outcomes, and troubleshoot security-related issues to enhance protection.

Responsibilities

  • Assess endpoint protection requirements for enterprise (devices, applications, etc.)
  • Review and assess utilization of current endpoint security implementation.
  • Conduct thorough analysis of technical and integration requirements.
  • Develop solutions and solutions architecture for Crowdstrike, Microsoft, and Zscaler security products.
  • Provide coordination and administration with Systems Engineering, Information Security and GRC teams for the delivery of recommended solutions.
  • Provide product implementation/operation support and engage in hands-on implementation of EDR, DLP, ZTNA, and SWG.
  • Develop policies and procedures for monitoring, assessment, detection, incident response and remediation of endpoint security devices.
  • Provide expertise in information governance and data protection.

Requirements

5+ recent years of demonstrated technical proficiency in related cyber field.

Experience with AWS/GCP/Azure

Thorough understanding of security tools / products and where they fit within an organization to meet business requirements.

Familiarity with Microsoft Windows, MAC OSs and Linux/Unix system administration and security controls.

Strong understanding of IT and Cybersecurity technologies.

Good understanding of networking fundamentals e.g., TCP/IP, DNS, SSL.

Passionate about the cybersecurity field and like to challenge status quo to raise the bar for McAfee's InfoSec security team.

Qualifications

Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field.

CISSP, CISM, CEH, or equivalent certifications preferred.

Skills

Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, PowerShell, or Bash.

Experience with cloud-based security services (AWS, Azure, GCP).

Pay

The anticipated compensation for this position is USD $93,370.00/Yr. - USD $153,400.00/Yr. depending on experience and qualifications.
