About the role

Assists the physician in the performance of endoscopic and various complex interventional cases. Maintains supplies and equipment in the Endoscopy Department in proper working order. Cleans and disinfects equipment according to unit and hospital policy. Provides appropriate patient care to the Ambulatory Care and Endoscopy patient under the direction of the Registered Nurse. Performs clerical duties as necessary to assure optimal function of Ambulatory Care and Endoscopy, including assembling and maintaining patient chart material, maintaining records and files, and ensuring order and cleanliness of the workstation. Completes charges for patients.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) Required
• Graduate of GI/OR Technology program Preferred
• 2 years of Endoscopy Tech experience Required
• Previous experience in Endoscopy Preferred
• Current AHA BLS Certification upon hire Required
• GTS Certification Preferred
• AGTS Certification Preferred
