About the Role
As an Endoscopy Tech, you will provide crucial technical support during endoscopic procedures, ensuring patient safety and efficiency. You will meticulously prepare, maintain, and sterile process endoscopy equipment, assist physicians during procedures, and prepare rooms while maintaining accurate documentation. Success in this role requires strong technical proficiency, meticulous attention to detail in sterile processing, and collaborative skills in a fast-paced clinical setting, contributing to positive patient outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Prepares the endoscopy suite for procedures by ensuring the equipment is functioning properly and safely.
- Prepares the endoscopy suite and the field for procedures by preparing supplies, scopes, and equipment used during the procedure.
- Demonstrates knowledge of human anatomy and pathophysiology and how it relates to the patient.
- Performs tasks as directed by the physician and nurse during the procedure.
- Performs duties according to department-specific expectations as identified and assigned.
- Assists with patient care activities under the direct supervision of the Registered Nurse.
- Anticipates usual and unexpected events during the endoscopy procedure and responds efficiently.
- Adheres to aseptic practices, providing and maintaining a safe environment.
- Handles and processes surgical specimens according to established policy/procedure.
Requirements
- High School Graduate or GED.
- Willingness to complete on-the-job training with a structured competency regimen.
- Basic Life Support (CPR) certification.

Pay
$18.96 - $26.78 per hour.
