The Hospitals of Providence is seeking an Endoscopy Technician to assist and perform invasive endoscopic procedures safely under the direct supervision of a physician or licensed nurse in El Paso, Texas.

Responsibilities

• Assist and perform invasive endoscopic procedures safely under direct supervision of a physician or licensed nurse.
• Provide endoscopy support.
• Prepare rooms for endoscopy procedures.
• Provide general assistance and supportive tasks as directed.
• Provide direct and indirect patient care in the healthcare setting.
• Provide care that meets psychosocial, physical, and general aspects of care; meet communication needs of patient and family.
• Provide care reflecting initiative and responsibility indicative of professional expectations, under supervision of a Registered Nurse.
• Maintain regulatory requirements, nursing and ambulatory care policies, procedures, and standards.
• Communicate with physicians and team members about changes in patient's clinical condition, including results of diagnostic studies and symptomatology.

Requirements

• Education: High school diploma (required).
• Experience: Preferred 1 year experience as an endoscopy or surgical/OB technician.
• Certifications: Required AHA BLS; Preferred SGNA.
