About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and collaborative Endocrinologist to join our growing team in Providence, Rhode Island. This full-time position involves 80% clinical work and 20% patient charting, primarily in an outpatient setting with coverage of inpatient consults at Women & Infants Hospital. Rotational call is phone/pager only.

Our stellar team includes endocrinologists, nurse practitioners, dieticians, and clinical pharmacists with expertise in endocrinology and diabetes care. Subspecialty interests are supported.

You will provide high-quality care for patients with a broad range of endocrine disorders, including diabetes, thyroid, adrenal, pituitary, and other hormonal conditions, as well as diabetes and general endocrine care in pre-pregnant and pregnant patients. Collaboration with specialty teams at Women & Infants Hospital, including OB Medicine, Maternal-Fetal Medicine, and Women’s Health, is expected. The average daily patient census is 15–20. Precepting of medical students and residents is available. Epic is used systemwide.

Responsibilities

• Provide outpatient and inpatient consultative endocrinology care, focusing on diabetes, thyroid, adrenal, pituitary, and other hormonal disorders.
• Deliver endocrine care for pre-pregnant and pregnant patients in collaboration with Women & Infants Hospital specialty teams.
• Participate in rotational call (phone/pager only).
• Maintain an average daily patient census of 15–20.
• Precept medical students and residents as opportunities arise.

Requirements

• MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school.
• Completed or currently enrolled in an ACGME-accredited residency program.
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Endocrinology.
• Active Rhode Island MD/DO, CSR, and DEA license or eligibility.
