About the role

The University of Central Florida (UCF), College of Medicine Faculty Practice at UCF Health in Orlando, FL, is seeking applications from outstanding endocrinologists for a non-tenure track clinical appointment at the assistant, associate or professor of medicine rank.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver high quality, value-based, team-based outpatient care.
  • Opportunities for clinical research.
  • Medical student, resident and subspecialty endocrinology fellow teaching.

Requirements

  • M.D., D.O. or equivalent degree from an accredited medical school.
  • Eligible for licensure or actively licensed to practice in the state of Florida.
  • ABIM board certified in Endocrinology or board eligible upon completion of training.
  • Board certification is expected within two (2) years of completion of training.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Extensive clinical experience in caring for patients with diabetes mellitus and thyroid diseases.
  • Specific training and considerable experience in the use of ultrasound technology to image and biopsy the thyroid gland.
  • Experience in new technologies for diabetes monitoring as well as advances in therapies involving insulin and other pharmacologic agents.
  • Interest and expertise in collaborating with existing faculty participating in adrenal and pituitary-adrenal research, endocrine surgery, and the genomics of endocrine diseases.
  • Additional faculty-level experience in endocrinology graduate medical education (e.g. fellowship) programs, peer-reviewed publications in the discipline of endocrinology, and participation in research trials concerning endocrinologic disorders.
