About the role
This is a full-time permanent contract located in our Edinburgh city centre office.
Schedule
35 hours per week, Monday to Friday from 9am to 5pm.
Pay
£23,500-£26,000, dependent on 12 months of related Property Manager experience.
Responsibilities
- Oversee end-of-tenancy process: Ensure smooth, fair conclusions for both tenants and landlords, including property readiness and work completion for new occupancies.
- Assess dilapidations & liabilities: Review inspection reports with precision, accurately determine tenant vs. landlord responsibility, and compile evidence for deposit claims via Safe Deposit Scotland.
- Advise on property improvements: Recommend upgrades to landlords that enhance value and maintain high standards between tenancies.
- Resolve deposit disputes professionally: Handle customer service issues with empathy and efficiency to achieve positive outcomes and client satisfaction.
- Ensure compliance & quality: Maintain rigorous attention to detail across inspections, reports, and communications to uphold property and procedural standards.
Requirements
- Previous Property Management or industry-related experience preferred, but not essential.
- Demonstrable good negotiation/communication skills and competence in resolving conflict and potential disputes – both written and verbal.
- A positive, proactive attitude, with a strong customer service focus.
- Meticulous attention to detail and confidence in relaying information.
- Process-driven, with efficient administration and organisational skills.
- Ability to problem solve, remain calm under pressure, and a track record of exceeding client expectations.
- Current legal right to work in the UK.
