Encapsulation Machine Operator - C-Shift Nights

How You Will Make an Impact

The Machine Operator II will be responsible for operating an encapsulating machine to produce products from pre-mixed ingredients, ensuring proper temperatures, machine settings, equipment set-ups, in process measurements, and quality product.

A Day in the Life

• Manufacture of simple, bulk products
• Observes machine operation. Adjust as needed.
• Takes samples of product and performs in process testing.
• Assists Set-Up person to set up machine, empty basket and clean and prepare machine for changeover. Also assists with the actual changeover.
• Assists with cleanup and other Encapsulation duties as needed.
• May perform other reasonable, related business duties.
• Operates inline printing equipment

Education

High school diploma or equivalent required.

Experience

• Required: Minimum of 1 year of work experience in a manufacturing, operations, production, or lab setting or related field.
• Preferred: Experience in a cGMP environment

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

• Excellent verbal and written skills
• Ability to interpret data, perform basic calculations and troubleshooting skills
• The ability to work a 12-hour shift in a 24-hour, 7 day per week operation.
• Meet DEA security clearance requirements if requested.
• Must be able to work overtime if necessary.

Physical Requirements / Work Environment

• Able to lift 40 lbs. without assistance
• Adherence to all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) Safety Standards
• Cleanroom: no hair products, jewelry, makeup, nail polish, perfume, exposed piercings, facial hair etc. allowed
• Loud Noises (Equipment/Machinery)
• No contact lens allowed; prescriptive glasses will be provided
• Some degree of PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) required (safety glasses, gowning, gloves, lab coat, ear plugs etc.)
• Strong Odors (chemical, lubricants, biological products etc.)
• Must be able to frequently lift/push/pull/carry up to 50 pounds

Work Schedule

12-hour night shifts, 7:00pm - 7:00pm, in a 24-hour, 7-day per week operation.
