About the role

The En Route ATC Supervisor is responsible for overseeing and directing the activities of contractor personnel providing instructional support within the Initial En Route Training branch. This position is located at the FAA Academy in Oklahoma City, OK.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and direct the activities of contractor personnel providing instructional support within the Initial En Route Training branch.
• Ensure compliance with FAA regulations and standards for air traffic control training.
• Develop and implement training programs to meet the needs of the FAA and its contractors.
• Provide guidance and support to contractor personnel to enhance their instructional effectiveness.
• Ensure that all training activities align with the FAA's mission of providing safe and professional air traffic control services.

Requirements

• US Citizenship required with the ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance.
• Minimum of 3 years of CPC ATCS experience in a civilian ARTCC or other equivalent civilian facility.
• Experience must have been at a facility equal to or exceeding an FAA ATC-10 ARTCC.
• Certified Professional Controller (CPC) certification required.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent (GED).

Skills

• Prior supervisory experience is preferred but is not required.
• Prior Academy Instructor experience is strongly preferred.

Benefits

Retirees who earn as an ATC Instructor, ATC Training Instructional Supervisor, or Contractor Site Supervisor on this program are exempt from the Supplemental Annuity earnings limits for FERS retirees between the ages of 56 and 62.

The pay for this position is competitive and commensurate with experience and qualifications.

Schedule

The position is full-time and works on a day shift.
